1.  Fill in workbook questions for Chapter 3 (in class while watching dvds)

2.  Type vocabulary words (page 42) and definitions from glossary.

3.  Answer Chapter 3 Money In Review section of workbook.  Check your answers with the answer key.  Use this as a study guide for your Chapter 3 Test. 

4.  Do student activity sheet, “Monthly Retirement Planning”.

5.  Do student activity sheet, “401(K) and Roth IRA”.

6.  Continue to track your stocks and mutual funds on the student activity sheet “ Individual Fund Tracker”.  This assignment will take 10 weeks.  Due on April 13.

7.  Read the USA Today article, “Can you depend on Social Security?”

8.  Take Chapter 3 Test.  This is NOT an open book test.

9.  Answer Before you Begin Chapter 4 (pg. 48)

10. .  Listen to Dave Ramsey for at least ½ hour this week.  Type up a paragraph or two summarizing the caller’s situation, followed by the advice that Dave gave the caller.  What is your opinion about the caller’s situation and the advice Dave gave the caller?  Did you learn anything from the situation?

Chapter 2 Assignments 9-10-13 (Due 9-24-13)

This chapter will take two class periods to finish.  All assignments for this chapter are due Sept. 24.  Please note that you will have 2 weeks of radio papers for this chapter due at that time.

1.  Fill in workbook questions for Chapter 2 (in class while watching dvds)

2.  Type vocabulary words (page 28) and definitions from glossary.

3.  Answer Chapter 2 Money In Review section of workbook.  Check your answers with the answer key.  Use this as a study guide for your Chapter 2 Test. 

4.  Do student activity sheet, “Investments Compared”.

5.  Do student activity sheet, “Name That Investment”.

6.  Do student activity sheet “Investment Scavenger Hunt”

7.  Do student activity sheet “ Individual Fund Tracker”.  Use www.finance.yahoo.com, www.money.msn.com, www.morningstar.com, or www.cnnmoney.com to track your funds.  This assignment will take 10 weeks.  Due on Dec 3.

8.  With your partner, complete the “Investments Examined” activity sheet.  Each group will teach the rest of the class about your investment on Sept. 24.  You will have up to 5 minutes to teach the class about your investment.  You may use visual aides or any other creative methods of teaching the class about your investment.

9.  Take Chapter 2 Test.  This is NOT an open book test.

5.  Do student activity sheet, “Rate of Return”.  Use the Investment Calculator on the Dave Ramsey website.

 

6.  Do Case Studies Chapter 1

 

7.  Take Chapter 1 Test.  This is NOT an open book test.
