Welcome to Personal Finance!  Because you don't have your books yet, the only assignments you can do this week are #4, #5, #6, and #9.  You will have two weeks to turn these assignments in.  We should have your books next week.

Assignments 9-3-13 (Due 9-17-13)

 

1.  Fill in workbook questions for Chapter 1 (in class while watching dvds)

 

2.  Type vocabulary words (page 18) and definitions from glossary.

 

3.  Answer Money In Review section of workbook.  Check your answers with the answer key.  Use this as a study guide for your Chapter 1 Test. 

 

4.  Do student activity sheet, “The Impact of Daily Decisions”.  Use the Investment Calculator on the Dave Ramsey website.

 

5.  Do student activity sheet, “Rate of Return”.  Use the Investment Calculator on the Dave Ramsey website.

 

6.  Do Case Studies Chapter 1

 

7.  Take Chapter 1 Test.  This is NOT an open book test.

 

8.  Answer Before you Begin Chapter 2

 

9.  Listen to Dave Ramsey for at least ½ hour this week.  Type up a paragraph or two summarizing the caller’s situation, followed by the advice that Dave gave the caller.  What is your opinion about the caller’s situation and the advice Dave gave the caller?  Did you learn anything from the situation?  Listen at 1230 AM 1-4 p.m., or listen online at daveramsey.com.  See attached list of stations.
